CALL TO ACTION: EUROPEAN VAPERS PROTEST 2015

EUROPEAN VAPERS VS THE TPDProtest-290515

VAPERS OF ALL COUNTRIES! NOW IS THE TIME TO RISE!

ALL EU CITIZENS HAVE RIGHTS. ONLY OURS ARE ABOUT TO BE CURTAILED!

Two countries have already implemented the TPD and we have seen, how grotesque this turned out. We don’t want to wait idly while this happens. We’re calling for common protests all over Europe.
On Friday May 29th 2015 vapers all over Europe will hit the streets to protest against the TPD that will curtail our citizens rights massively.
The implementation of the TPD will ban all the vaping devices of 2nd and 3rd generation. No more liquids and bases in bottles bigger than 10 ml or stronger than 20 mg/ml. Tanks will be limited to 2 ml and must be filled via an ominous mechanism. Anything that might leak will be prohibited. There will be no more glass or macrolon tanks as they aren’t unbreakable.
We don’t object to easier handling. But we don’t want our choice limited to a single system. Most important for the success of vaping is the plethora of devices and liquids. The TPD means the death of vaping in Europe!
With a global protest we want to show how vast our community is. How coordinated and determined we are to fight for our rights. The selected date is chosen to get media attention. Even if it’s only for traffic jams we cause. We just need the public to notice our community.

CALLING ALL VAPERS!

Let’s fill the major streets of Europe with our vapor. Let’s get noticed.

CALLING ALL VAPER’S ASSOCIATIONS OF EUROPE!

Unite and let’s plan and perform this historical pan-european mega event!

CONSIDER!

It’s about our passion! We are not “Astroturf”! We have a voice as responsible and reasonable citizens. Let’s raise that voice.
It’s about our health! Also consider how many smokers will be barred from switching by the TPD 2.  We won’t surrender our new found quality of life!
It’s about our freedom of choice! All the negative propaganda has already been debunked. We struggle against an unreasonable, lobby lead regulation of a revolutionary device!
We are tired to be discriminated against! Our community keeps on growing. We can only succeed if we all act together.

WE ASK ALL ASSOCIATIONS AND ORGANISATIONS TO REGISTER IN THE FACEBOOK GROUP

There are currently two events planned in the UK – London and Swansea.  If you can’t get to either of those you could plan your own event. Please share the PDF links with as many people and vendors as possible – it’s vital that these events have good attendance.  We need to tell our government it MUST SAY NO to TPD Article 20.

Grrr… why do they always try to organise these things when a majority of vapers are at work?

    • You do have a valid point here.

Good excuse to take the day off though!

Yeah that’s the thing – most companies require 4-6 weeks notice for holiday, especially at this time of year when people are starting to disappear for holiday season. I’m not sure when this was originally announced but if it’s only now gaining wider attention there won’t be enough time for passionate vapers to organise themselves. The organisers will be disappointed by poor turnouts then generally, vapers get lambasted for not being passionate enough. Sorry, I hate to be a party pooper and I’m pleased people are getting organised… but these things need to be thought through in order to get maximum effect. Have they asked TW to distribute to their ‘Say no to article 20’ signatories? Probably not… I’m a signatory and have heard nothing about this until now. Things like this can make the difference between a show of force and a few stragglers hanging around vaping. Hope I’m proven wrong.

There’s a thunderclap organised in support of it at https://www.thunderclap.it/projects/26535-down-with-this-sort-of-thing?locale=en – if you can’t come yourself, consider adding your twitter/facebook/tumbler to it to help spread the word.

    • Well, I’ve never heard of Thunderclap. Liam, for those not in the know could you give us a brief explanation of what a thunderclap is please?

Its a webpage that posts a predetermined message on all of that message supporters’ twitter and/or facebook and/or tumblr feeds. It has the effect of temporarily taking over that particular echo chamber, with the consequent higher probability of breaking out of it. If it gets enough support to be trending on any of those platforms, it gets even further attention.
